More and more people are seeking ways to have an impact in the space of environmental, social and governance and one way to accomplish this is to align your investments with your interest by utilizing ESG or Responsible investing strategies. We are going to dive into what ESG is and what it isn’t so you know how an ESG stacks up against other investment options. You will leave this session knowing what ESG is, how funds and ETFs are screened and monitored to qualify as ESG and how the performance compares to non-ESG strategies.
Heather Reisner – Product Development & Management Senior Associate
Heather is a Senior Associate on WisdomTree’s Product Development and Management team. In this role, she is responsible for managing the launch of new ETFs and enhancing the firm’s existing fund line-up when opportunities arise. Heather joined WisdomTree in July 2018 from BNY Mellon, where she was part of the firm’s Global Client Management team. Heather holds a B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
Tamer Elshourbagy
Tamer Elshourbagy is a vice president and senior portfolio manager for Tompkins Financial Advisors. Tamer joined Tompkins in 2017 and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing investment strategies for individuals and institutional clients. He works closely with an internal team of advisors and meets with clients to promote, educate, design, and review investment portfolios that meet client objectives. As a member of the investment committee, Tamer is responsible for helping direct the investment strategy across Tompkins portfolio offerings.
Tamer brings more than two decades of investment experience in portfolio management and fundamental investment research to his role. Prior to joining Tompkins, he served as portfolio manager and head of research for John G. Ullman & Associates with oversight of $1 billion in assets under management. Tamer also spent over 10 years with Brandywine Global Investment Management as lead equity analyst for the firm’s large cap value strategies with assets under management of $7 billion.
He currently serves on the board of directors for the Women’s Opportunity Center and Tompkins County Youth Services.
Tamer earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University.
Tamer and his family reside in Ithaca, New York.
